RECIPROCAL VISITORS INFORMATION

Waterway

The channel is normally maintained to a depth of 9 feet, but depths may fluctuate due to changes in weather, water levels and silting. If your draft is over 4.5 feet proceed carefully, especially late in the season. The harbor is normally maintained to a depth of 12 to 20 feet. OOYC is located about one mile upstream from the mouth of the creek, just south of the Lake Ontario Parkway Bridge. According to chart data, the bridge has an overhead clearance of 54 feet. Most sailboats under 40 feet LOA have no problems.

Dockage

Visitors from Yacht Clubs with whom we exchange reciprocal privileges are invited to utilize member slips when members are out cruising. Each slip has 30-amp electric service and water. Available slips are indicated by OPEN signs on the ends on the docks.

Dockage for the first night is free. After the first night, for up to three additional nights, visitors will be charged a nightly fee of $20.00. Beginning the fifth consecutive day, the charge will be $1.00 per foot. If possible, all arrangements and payments for visitor docks should be made with the Dock Master, the Officer of the Day, or any OOYC club member on the docks at the time of arrival. Visitors are asked to register in the Visitors Log Book (in the white dock box on our T-dock) and display a completed registration form in a dock-side port. Rafted boats will not be exempt from payment of any overnight fee. We do not accept reservations.
